Children's Liturgy of the Word

This is a special Sunday morning opportunity for children in Grades 1 through 5 to celebrate the Liturgy of the Word during the Sunday 9:00AM and 11:00AM Masses.  All children are welcome to participate and are invited forward for a blessing prior to the First Reading.  They are led into the Chapel with a catechist who will share the Gospel story of the day.   The children return to the larger assembly before the presentation of the gifts.  The primary purpose of dismissing the children is to provide them with a focused environment where they will explore God’s Word by listening, responding and interacting. 

The children will engage in a prayerful way of connecting with God through the Scripture of the day.
